The RYL Board has decided to REQUIRE masks to be worn when actively competing during practices and games. Masks can be removed during water breaks while the players are spread out from each other.
Distancing
Social distancing is everyone's responsibility. Not only is it very important in mitigating the spread, but it is also a key CDC element in determining Close Contact or if quarantining is required in the event of possible exposure. Most practices break grades into smaller groups and keep kids active which minimizes them standing around in lines. The goal is to not have any player within 6 feet of someone for a total of 15 minutes or more during practice.
Quarantining
If Ridgefield Public Schools has notified you that your child has been contact traced and needs to quarantine, they provide very clear guidance on when students may resume activities and school and those instructions must be followed. Kids cannot attend practices/games if quarantined.
