2020 Girls Spring HOUSE Clinic (Grade 1)

The House program is for new and returning players and meets once a week on Sunday mornings. The program’s emphasis is on creating a fun and positive environment to learn the fundamental skills and rules of the game. Practices consist of ninety minute sessions focused on skill development using stations and typically end with scrimmages. 

Season:           April 19 through June 14 (Memorial Day Weekend)

Practices:        Sundays, 9:30 am – 10:30 am at Scotts Ridge Middle School turf field

Equipment:      Goggles, mouth piece and stick

Cost:                $150; $1,000 family limit. Registration fees are due at the time of registration.  Unpaid registrations will be deleted                               after 24 hours!

Uniforms:          Kids will receive an RYL pinnie.

Practices consist of 90-minute sessions focused on skill development using stations and typically end with scrimmages. 

Season:           April 19 through June 14 (no session Memorial Day Weekend)

Practices:        Sundays, 9:30 am – 10:30 am at Scotts Ridge Middle School turf field

Equipment:      Goggles, mouth piece and stick are required

Cost:                $150; $1,000 family limit.  Registration fees are due at the time of registration; registrations are deleted 24                                      hours after they are entered into the system if no payment has been received.  

Uniforms:          Kids will receive a new RYL pinnie.

Practices:         Sundays, 9:30 am – 10:30 am at Scotts Ridge Middle School starting April 19

                         Fridays, 6:00 - 7:00 pm at RHS Grass Game Field starting April 3

Equipment:      Goggles, mouth piece and stick

Cost:                $200; $1,000 family limit. Registration fees are due at the time of registration; unpaid registrations will be deleted                              from the system after 24 hours!

Uniforms:          Kids will receive RYL pinnies

Practices        Sundays, 10:45 am - 12:00 pm at RHS Tiger Hollow starting April 19

                          Wednesdays, 6:15 - 7:15 pm at SRMS Turf Field starting April 1

Equipment:       Helmet, mouth piece, stick, gloves, and shoulder & elbow pads

RYL Boys Coaches:

Thank you for your interest in coaching boys' youth lacrosse.  Please register here.

Lacrosse experience is not necessarily required at all levels.  There may be a limited number of coaching positions available for each team.  RYL reserves the right to select and assign coaches as needed.

RYL will use the Coaches Registration page to help communicate with and assign coaches, and obtain or update US Lacrosse Membership information.

Please be aware that all RYL coaches must comply with the following requirements before the start of the spring season (tryouts on March 3):

1.  Take and pass the CONNY rules test available online at www.connylacrosse.org. Click here for information. 
2.  Obtain Red Cross first aid/AED certification (details to follow).
3.  Participate in RYL Coaches Training.

RYL will use the Coaches Registration page to help communicate with and assign coaches, and obtain or update US Lacrosse Membership information and insurance.

ALL RYL COACHES MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING BEFORE THE START OF THE SEASON:

1. Complete Red Cross first aid/AED training (details to follow).

2. Participate in RYL  Coaches Training.

3. IMPORTANT: RYL 5-8th grade girls teams are a member of CONNY (Connecticut New York Youth Lacrosse Association-www.connylacrosse.org).  CONNY requires that all coaches take and pass the CONNY Online Rules Exam.  It is mandatory that all 4th-8th grade coaches take the online exam and strongly suggested that all RYL girls coaches take the exam.
